Zikhona Sodlaka is one of South Africa's most decorated actresses, with over two decades of work spanning television, film, theatre, and production.

Born in Mthatha and raised in KwaZulu-Natal, she broke through with her Emmy-nominated role in Tsha Tsha and went on to become a household name across the continent through The Wife, Igazi, and Gqeberha: The Empire. On the international stage, she portrayed Mandela's mother in the Idris Elba-led biopic Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom.

Her role as Bulelwa "Bullet" Mxenge in Gqeberha: The Empire earned her multiple awards, including the Best Actress in a Telenovela Golden Horn at the 18th Annual SAFTAs in 2024.

Now celebrating 20 years in the industry, Zikhona is also a producer, writer, mother to a toddler son, and mentor - running her production company, Zikhona Sodlaka Productions, and a nationwide tour, The Zikhona Sodlaka Masterclass, empowering the next generation of South African creatives.
